Hooliganwatch™: 1,000 English Hooligans Allowed to go to World Cup

By: WC Bob | March 19th, 2006 | 1 Comment »

They did the crime and they’ve done the time and now they can go to Germany. An estimated 1,000 convicted English hooligans will be legally able to go to the World Cup because their “banning orders” have expired. These are the nice folks whose thuggish actions were so bad that they were banned from attending matches in England and from going abroad to watch their national team play. Not everyone is so lucky though. Approximately 3,500 Britons are still under banning orders and must surrender their passports and report to local police stations on England match days. There’s no word yet on whether they will be served scones and tea during their police station visits.

A lot of these characters won’t be able to help themselves. After a an all day session in the local bars it’ll be ‘Grandad took Germany in World War Two, now it’s our turn’.
