"Zidane’s goal on Buffon"...how simple are you?

Grosso goal against Germany cant get a much bigger game or better goal.

"Zidane’s goal on Buffon" still cant believe you said that.

"The best goals for me:
1) Cambiasso’s goal against Serbia - Very high quality passing capa bilities
3) Zidane’s goal on Buffon - The King showing his stunning capability in making the best goalie look like an amature player
2) Maxi’s goal agaist Mexico - An abosultly beautiful strike (regardless of the time)"

Hehe... i thought his comment was UBER funny... cuz the second choice goal was a PENALTY SHOT... and was also a mistake by Zidane that happened to work out in the end... haha.. what a laugh...

Ugh... I was on vacation when the Mexico-Argentina game came on and Argentina is my #2 team so I'm disappointed I didnt see this goal and cant comment on it. I do however think it'd be hard to top Cambiasso's goal cuz that just blew my mind!

Then, the Italian's own goal was a beauty too... Nicely done. They were lucky they are not from Columbia.

This post is for comments on "Goal Of The Tournament", not for those like yourself who want to continue with the obsessive promotion of Zidane's past talented plays. We do not dispute his talents, it's just your non-ending fixation with him.

Sorry, but if you take a close look at Rodriguez's goal, you'll see that Sanchez is very late in moving to his right. When he does finally move, he still comes very close to saving it. Plus, the ball does not cross the goal line at the corner, but rather ends up there once it hits the back of the net. As pretty as the strike was, it was saveable, and GK error has at least as much to do with the goal as does the strike itself. Conclusion: not the goal of the tournament. Cole's was much harder for a GK to read, as was Lamm's. Heck, Kone's goal for CIV vs. HED and both ITA strikes vs. GER in extra time were absolutely immaculate.
