FIFA Establishes Company to Keep Eye on World Cup Match Fixing
FIFA, the esteemed international football governing body that has never been embroiled in scandal or corruption, has announced that it has set up a company to keep an eye on unusual betting patterns that might be attributed to potential match fixing at the World Cup. The scarily named company - FIFA Early Warning System GmbH – will apparently be able to determine if the fix is on. Anybody else out there feel better now that FIFA is monitoring things? The phrase “fox guarding the hens” comes to my mind, but maybe that is because my own company, FIFA Corruption Warning System WCB, has detected unusual corruption patterns in Geneva lately.

Sad, but probably true. FIFA is as guilty of match-fixing as anyone else is. I’m glad someone else also thinks so.

Well, what do you expect from Joseph Blatter… In order to be elected as FIFA president he promised Joao Havelange that none of his economic scandals would ever be investigated.
FIFA is a shame for the international football community.
