FIFA Can’t Prevent Diving or the World’s Oldest Profession

By: WC Bob | April 13th, 2006 | 2 Comments »

Head honcho Sepp Blatter revealed today that FIFA can’t rid the world of that scourge known as prostitution. The Seppster said: “Prostitution and trafficking of women, however, does not fall within the sphere of responsibility of an international sports federation but in that of the authorities and the lawmakers of any given country.” FIFA can’t even stop players from diving on the ground and faking like they have been shot so why anyone would think they could do anything to prevent prostitution at the World Cup is beyond us. In other FIFA-related news, Sepp Blatter is seen below sporting a new World Cup loin cloth ™ and demonstrating that short men do sometimes rise to positions of power.

At some point, somewhere, someBODY must be telling these FIFA people that they’re doing a good job, I mean otherwise they would get the hint wouldn’t they? Remember when Seppy wanted to get rid of ties and make the European game more like the MLS version?
