That last phrase on the BBC commercial made me laugh (after what was a great tv ad btw). You gotta love the british, so subtle yet so effective.

Please see “which team will score the most goals” story to clean up the offensive language in one of the comments.

Also, is there any thought of running a “conspiracy theory” type story….

For example: Is this the World Cup when the war against terror coalition gets the calls to go their way? e.g. England beating Spain in Final with USA claming third?

OPKO,

I agree on about cleaning up the language.

However, if anything, those Coalition nations, especially the US, will NOT get calls to go their way. That’s where the conspiracy is.

FIFA has already given out the word that the US cannot advance out of the group stage, and the refs are to do everything that they can to see that it happens.

In fact, the plan is for the US to lose every match, and get sent home with ZERO points, embarassed with their tails between their legs.

Now, FIFA says that this is for the Americans’ protection, and for the protection of the other teams and fans; that if the US is losing on the pitch, the American enemies will be less likely to take any terrorist actions, and simply allow the tournament to proceed in peace.

Now, that’s a conspiracy theory!

***NOTE: the foregoing post was only a response for a good story, nothing more.***
