Comments are Back on and Site News
Dearest Patrons,
After much delay and many technical challenges we have found a defense against the massive amounts of spam that were inundating World Cup Blog. As a result we have been able to turn the comments back on. You still may not be able to comment on some of the threads that were turned off while we were working on them but all new threads and ones from before December should have fields for commenting. Thank you for your patience while we were getting this fixed. The comments on this site are what makes it so great so please by all means chime in with your thoughts. Just keep them clean and don’t try to leave 10,000 per hour promoting pills that will make my sex life better.
Now that this problem is out of the way, I would like to put out a call for writers. Many of the fine folks who blogged before and after the World Cup are still posting. That is awesome. Some of the other blogs have gone dormant. If you would like to bring them back to life, you can send me a message – bob [at] worldcupblog.org
The long-term plan for the site is to build towards South Africa 2010. By this summer we will likely have the ability to have a blog for every country in the world. If there is a specific country that you would like to blog about that we don’t currently have, you can also drop me a line and I’ll add you to the list for a future blog. There is also room for more writers over at our sister site, The Offside.
Thanks again for visiting the site. Thanks to our bloggers as well for making the magic and to our tech dudes for helping to make things hum again.
Cheers,
Bob

Great to see this back up and running. I think you should give the tech people some of those sex pills as a bonus.
