Bush Startin’ to Catch on to this Soccer thing

By: WC Bob | May 7th, 2006 | 8 Comments »

US President George W. Bush is a quick learner. When he was growing up he says he didn’t even know what a soccer ball looked like. As you can see in the picture, when he was a little older he thought a soccer ball was used for bowling. Now that he is 60 and gets satellite television at the White House, he not only can identify a soccer ball, but he also knows about this little thing called the World Cup played by those funny looking foreigners in shorts.

In an interview with a German newspaper Sunday, W. talks about how the older fellas (his word, not ours) in the US are starting to pay attention to the world’s biggest sporting event.

“A lot of us grew up without any connection to soccer — me, for example,” Bush said. “But there is a new generation that has grown up with soccer. They obviously have a great interest in the World Cup.

“And some of us older fellas are starting to understand how important the World Cup is for the whole world.”

As for who he is supporting in this year’s tournament, Bush said he is backing the United States of America and that he isn’t afraid to use military force to make sure they win.

[...] Now that Bush is “starting to understand how important the World Cup is” I want to make a proposal. In order to resolve the issue over Ahmadinejad attending the games, I propose GW and Ahmadinejad have little one-on-one football match. We put Oliver Kahn in the goal and let GW and Ahmadinejad take 10 penalties each. The winner gets to collect the big prize, tickets to all their national team’s games and plus a pair to the final. I hope the rules aren’t too complex for Bush. If Cheney goes to any games make sure he doesn’t bring his shotgun.

I think this could be the most effective vehicle for all of Bush’s dimwit megalomania. Bring the World Cup home to the US. It could distract him from wreaking havoc in other ways and assure that the final ticket coucher i have will become vaild.

Please get the CIA and DIS on this. Please!

Maybe if he spent some of the money he throws at the defense budget he could bring in all kinds of stars and then use them to distract the world while he blows everyone up.
