Brother, Can you spare some Change?

By: WC Bob | April 11th, 2006 | No Comments »

Now we see why those greedy bastards from the G14 are so eager to get their hands on FIFA’s money. FIFA has quite a bit in its bank account. The world’s football governing body announced today that it generated huge profits that even exceed Wayne Rooney’s gambling debts. We’re talking $164.9 million in profits in 2005 – a 35% increase from the year before. We also learn that it is costing FIFA $670 million to put on the World Cup in Germany and that the tournament has gotten so enormous that they can’t find anyone to give them cancellation insurance in the event of a catastrophe. To think, for all these years we thought FIFA was in it for the mere love of the game.
