Brazil President on board for 2014

Add Brazil president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to the list of people who think his county should host the World Cup in 2014. Lula said today, “Football is the greatest passion in the country and it deserves to host the World Cup.” FIFA has made it clear that a South American country will host the tournament in 2014 and at the moment Brazil does appear to be the front runner. This is great news since our Brazil blogger Euler has invited every person who reads World Cup Blog to crash on his couch in 2014. Stay tuned. Still plenty of time for Sepp Blatter and his cronies to be bought off by another country. I’m keeping an eye on you, Guyana.
