Bling-Bling is in-in; Fancy Boots abound at World Cup
Remember back in the day when every footballer wore boring black boots? Then along came those flashy guys like Cuauhtemoc Blanco who sported the white shoe look even though everyone knows it isn’t fashionable to wear white shoes before summer. The times were simpler then. But with the knockdown drag out shoe war taking place this year, the World Cup is going to see a lot of players sporting some bling and color with their every step and kick.
Adidas has unveiled a line of boots called +F50 Tunit. We have no idea what that name means, but the company is rolling out specially designed boots featuring unique colors and features for each of the 32 teams in the World Cup. Based on a few of the pictures we’ve seen, these shoes will probably stand out while you watch the matches on television, even if you still have a black and white tv.
While the Adidas boots are definitely a winner in the fashion department, we continue to stress that they should be worn with extreme caution.
