Finally, the World Cup is upon us. Today we see a couple of Group A clashes with the hosts Germay taking on Costa Rica, and Poland squaring off against Ecuador. You’ve had months to study the teams and predict the group winners. Today’s your chance to predict the outcome of these two games.

I expect Poland to hammer Ecuador though, they’re only at the World Cup because their stadium is 9,000 feet above sea level, they really have no business representing South America at this World Cup, there are much better teams which are sitting at home right now.

Poland will be victors against ecuador – the entertainment level will be on the same par as my polish tongue (non exsistent!!)

Interesting to see all the Hispanic aliased predictions from the US all in favor of Ecuador hehe…I think it’s more of a racial pride rather than sense though..I am from Poland originally but not swayed by my pride, just trying to be realistic…and IMHO, the UK based fans have more common sense in their predictions. Whichever way it all goes, as long as the games shall be played and conducted in a fair way – may the better teams win.
That’s as fair as can be stated.

Two decent keepers will be bombarded…Look for Poland to draw or even win with a Ballack-less Germany..If I had to bet a testicle on it, then Germany 3:Poland 3. If Ballack is healthy, then Germany wins the group.
