Big Question: Which Games will you watch Today?

By: WC Bob | June 22nd, 2006 | 12 Comments »

With all four games holding meaning , this is one of those magical World Cup days. Even with multiple televisions and well-trained eyes, it is next to impossible to follow two games closely at the same time. If you’re like me, you probably will be paying attention more closely to one game than the other, while also having a look at the other match out of the corner of your eye.

Which are your primary viewing games today? Your choices are:

First matches:
Czech Republic vs. Italy
United States vs. Ghana

Second matches:
Brazil vs. Japan
Australia vs. Croatia

My decision has been made for me since I am liveblogging both the Czech Republic-Italy and Brazil-Japan matches. Which ones will you be watching the closest?

I would love to watch all but due to the fact I have a far kin uni exam tomorrow, getting up at 5am to watch the Green and Gold will be hard enough.

Go the Aussies!

I’ll be listening to the Sun audio stream of the US-Ghana match, of course, but I’ll have both that and the Italy-Czech game Chinese TV video streams going. Then there’s monitoring both live blogs. In the midst of that, I’ll get virtually nothing done here at work (keeping fingers and toes crossed that nothing breaks during the matches!).

As for the later matches…who cares!

Kidding…I’ll probably follow the Japan-Brasil match more closely, just to see if Brasil finds some of their form, but the Aussie-Croatia match should be a classic and is not to be missed either.

Basically a rough day to be following from work…I should be at a sports bar somewhere (i.e., out sick).

Go USA! Go Australia! WOOHOO!

Matt, OPKO When Ukraine was playing first match with Spain we had official short working day, but it wasn’t helpful for our guys so I think it’ll be better for Australia if Matt will pass through his exam ;)

Here in Canada, all four games are being shown on two networks, so you can watch them all in whatever order you like, i.e. watch one live, watch the other on delay, and repeat with the second set of matches. Of course by the end of one game you know what happened in the other but at least you get to see it all.
