Big Question: What should we call the Czech Republic?
Things were simpler during the cold war. Back then everyone knew the nickname of the Czech Republic. It was Slovakia. But now that we are living in this new era it has dawned on us that the Czech Republic – the second ranked team in the world – is desperately in need of a proper nickname for its football team. The only nickname that our Czech maven Wendy has uncovered for the team is The Locomotive. Sorry, but that is lame. Surely we can do better than this. Help us out readers. Go ahead and leave your suggestions for what should we call the Czech Republic. If you need some inspiration, here is a list of nicknames for the other World Cup teams.

Bohemians is one try; professional soccer teams in both Prague and Dublin are called the Bohemians (see http://www.fc-bohemians.cz/default_en.asp & http://www.bohemians.ie/). I believe once a term for the beatnick-coffeeshop crowd-artsy crowd were called Bohemians;
Wilkepedia states: ” In the Czech language there is no distinction between adjectives referring to Bohemia and Czechia, i.e. český means both Bohemian and Czech.” - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemia
And besides that; I don’t think any of us can forget Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” song.

I like the Locomotive, as long as you pronounce the last syllable as a long-E, e.g., “Locomoteev”
