Big Question: What is your Nightmare World Cup Final?

Yesterday we asked you for your dream World Cup final. Today we turn the tables and ask you which World Cup final match you don’t want to see. We have some thoughts on this matter as well and present a few championship matches that might make us reconsider what we will be doing on July 9.

Brazil – Germany: Been there, done that.

Australia – England: There wouldn’t be a single bottle of beer left in any store in the world if these two teams met. A World Cup final without a beer in hand, perish the thought.

Argentina – Italy: Might be a wonderful game, but watching all those players with long, flowing locks would really make us feel inadequate.

Saudi Arabia – Tunisia: Yesterday this was on our dream final list. We lied. Isn’t it bad enough that we have to watch this one in opening round? Oh the horror of seeing the rematch.

France – Anybody: We all have our biases. Much love to our France fans out there, but I simply wouldn’t be able to stomach watching your team have a chance to win another World Cup.

My nightmare World Cup final would have to be: USA-Korea. USA for obvious reasons, they are our rivals (Mexico), and Korea because of how they won their matches in 02 against Italy and Spain. Anyway those are the reasons why I wouldn’t want them in the finals.

Actually Italy OR Germany in the final, would be the perfect definition for anti-climax.

I’d say England and Netherlands. Would be an interesting game but only one can loose and there’s too much of a footballing rivalry between Germany and those countries.
