Beckenbauer Blasts Critics, Gives Facial Cremes Advice
One thing we’ve learned today is to never get on Franz Beckenbaeur’s bad side. The legendary soccer player’s words are almost as wicked as his shot.
Today, Franz lashed out at a German safety group that says the World Cup stadiums pose a safety hazard for spectators. Quoted in Reuters:
“I’m really sick and tired of the army of know-it-alls trying to lift their profile at the expense of the World Cup,” the organising committee president said after Stiftung Warentest reported there could be problems if fire or panic broke out.
“The Stiftung Warentest knows what it’s doing when comes to facial cremes, olive oil and vacuum cleaners,” Beckenbauer said. “But they should stick with that.”
I agree with Beckenbaeur. Who cares about stadium safety when there are menacing threats out there from facial cremes, olive oil and vacuum cleaners? Be afraid, be very afraid.
