Beach Soccer World Cup
For weeks I tried to convince my bosses that I would be the perfect correspondent to cover the Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers in Brazil. Despite my translucent skin tones and disdain of getting sand in my shorts, I do enjoy watching the Beautiful Game played on beautiful beaches. But alas, my superiors told me my time would be better spent fetching them coffee and cleaning their desks. So instead of my first hand accounts of what happened, you’ll have to rely on this tournament report. I guess I can still hold out hope of going to Dubai for the Asia and Oceania qualifiers in May if I am not busy scrubbing the floors of World Cup Blog global headquarters with a toothbrush.
