Aragones a Failure at Quitting Too

By: WC Bob | September 11th, 2006 | No Comments »

The heat has been on Spain coach Luis Aragones. After his team crapped out of the World Cup and after it lost last week to Northern Ireland in Euro 2008 qualifying, you would think that the football federation in Spain would be happy to show the coach the door.

Wrong.

Aragones submitted his resignation today only to be told that it has been rejected. The 68-year-old coach who, we’ll always remember for his racist comments directed towards Thierry Henry, has been given 48 hours to reconsider his resignation request.

Here’s hoping that Aragones sticks to his guns and packs his bags for good.

UPDATE: He is going to stay. Sorry, Spain fans.
