All Bets are Off for World Cup Players
FIFA President and Super Hunk Sepp Blatter announced on Thursday that players participating in the World Cup will be asked to sign a statement before the tournament saying the neither they nor their family members would bet on the World Cup games. Blatter’s diktat comes on the heels of a match-fixing scandal that is rocking Germany more than the Scorpions. This seems like a common sense move to me, although you could question how much teeth a signed piece of paper will have. Nevertheless, we could all benefit from this move since it means we won’t have to compete with the players to win this fantasy contest. Our money is still riding on Angola.
