A Soul for Sale

Inspired by Major League Soccer’s team in New York, which was purchased today by Red Bull and will change its name from the Metrostars to Red Bull New York, World Cup Blog decided to offer up its naming rights to the highest bidder. We accepted offers from companies from Angola to Ukraine. We even entertained a proposal from Budweiser because we didn’t want to discriminate against products that we don’t like. We listened to Nike because its new kits aren’t so bad. But in the end we had to go with a company that makes a product that is just as sweet and as fattening as this site. Henceforth, this blog will be called the Nutella World Cup Blog. Make sure you enjoy us each morning at breakfast.
