Forget the Macarena. The next big dance craze is the Kkokjijeom, a South Korean dance that you might just see in the stands in Germany this summer. The group dance, which translates to “vertex,” features a number of repetitive and silly movements that are apparently irresistible to young and old alike. Sweeping across the Internet and in the South Korean streets, many people would like to see the dance incorporated into the support shown towards the Red Devils at the World Cup. For me, one of the cool things about the World Cup is reading about other cultures and stories like this one. Now off to the dance club I go. It is about time I learn how to Kkokjijeom!
