I’ve taken my shots at Cristiano Ronaldo on this very ole’ blog before so it is only honorable and noble to point out that he had an absolutely monster of a game this past weekend against Azerbaijan. Luis over on the Portugal blog has a breakdown of the match and the video highlights of a spectacular goal that didn’t count. If this is Portugal in the post-Figo era, look out.

Funny that if it had been Rooney who had made that goal (wether it had counted or not) we would have seen it over and over again! And rightly so, but nobody on the side of the pond seems to have noticed or cared about it….

Great goal too bad he got a bad call. That was pure robbery. If he keeps this up what are us Ronaldo haters to do? Any suggestions who we could abuse instead? I guess Rooney is due for another meltdown soon.
