An Expensive Night out for Croatian Trio

Hopefully it was one hell of a nightclub because otherwise Croatian strikers Bosko Balaban, Ivica Olic and midfielder Darijo Srna are probably kick themselves right about now for deciding to sneak out of their team hotel for a night on the town before Croatia’s Euro 2008 qualifier against Russia earlier this month. The three players have each been fined $32,000 to go along with whatever cover charge they had to pay to get into the nightclub. All is not lost for these men, however, they have been recalled for next month’s Euro 2008 qualifiers against Andorra and England in Zagreb. Something tells me they will be in bed with the lights out by 9pm this time around.
