With politics and soccer closely intertwined, there will be plenty of people watching the Iranian team compete in the 2006 World Cup. If you're one of the lucky few heading over to Germany to catch the action in person, there are a few things to figure out before you go.
Iranian citizens need a visa to visit Germany. Work and resident permits are required if you plan on sticking around after the games. There are no required vaccines for entry into the country.

How to get around: The best way to follow the Iranian team as they travel across Germany is the World Cup Eurail Pass. This pass allows you flexible days of travel within Germany. Youth under 26 and two or more adults traveling together can also save money. Advantages include not having to deal with traffic or signs in foreign languages, easier navigation from one city to another and increased socialization with other excited World Cup fans!
