August 2007 FIFA World Rankings
Alright, kids. Strap on your seatbelts and make sure your hands aren’t hanging out the window. It is that time of the month where FIFA takes us on the roller coaster ride that is their world rankings. The ride isn’t especially bumpy this month with the top five teams from July remaining in order. Brazil and Argentina are still one-two after reaching the finals of the Copa America.
Further down the list we see that Iraq is now the 64th best team in the world thanks to their triumph at the Asian Cup. The biggest drop in the rankings belongs to Panama, who fell 14 spots for some reason or another. Meanwhile, for the 7,000th month in a row American Samoa is still the lowest ranked team in the world.
