Jonathon
For the past four years I’ve been preparing for this world cup like it’s my freak’in wedding night. (Unfortunately, I spent all my world cup savings to buy my wife her engagement ring… lucky for me, not all wedding gifts are toasters and silverware) I’m now 28, freshly married and this may be my last real chance to take that personal sports odyssey. After all, with pets, kids and a diminishing bank account all in my near future, it’s now or never.
Born in Philadelphia to two Argentine parents, I grew up with sports as my religion. This year I’ll be traveling to Germany with my younger brother to watch Argentina’s 3 group matches (Category 1 seats, baby!) USA vs. Italy, and France vs South Korea. I’ll be sure to take photos and make some observations. 7 of them to be exact… You’ll see. I’ll even try not to be so totally biased and give an objective perspective, but of course, the “albicelestes” are in my blood.
So for those of you going to Deutschland, I hope to meet up with you. Those of you staying home, no worries, because it’s in High Definition
this year!
Vamos Argentina, and let the games begin!!!
