History to be made during USA World Cup roster announcement

By: WC Bob | May 2nd, 2006 | 14 Comments »

Proving that the World Cup is even more important than jump roping contests, United States coach Bruce Arena will reveal the players he has tapped to wear the red, white and blue in Germany tonight on ESPN. How huge is this? It is so huge that our czar of the USA blog Daryl is going to LiveBlog the announcement. We’ve spent the entire morning looking at every website ever created and can safely say this will be the first time anyone has ever done a LiveBlog during a roster announcement. You can be a part of history by taking part in the fun and leaving your comments while Daryl breaks it all down for us. The fun begins at 6pm ET in the United States.

That is really a disturbing picture! I mean that is really disturbing. Landon Donovan is better than that, who is his manager?

Bob, the most disturbing thing in that slide side is the following: “U.S. soccer’s best hope, Clint Mathis.” /shudders/

Do you suppose Mathis is sitting by the phone today waiting for Arena’s call? Assuming he has a phone and indoor plumbing in the double wide.

I think that whole slideshow is very disturbing. I can’t figure out what is worse the slideshow itself or the fact that Bob has the link to it saved? The Masteroni picture is probably the weirdest of the bunch. I mean he plays soccer right, he has not been in any movies?

It was a bad idea to have changed the design of the home page Bob.

Nick and others - Let me know what you don’t like about the new design.

Cheers

Enochs, Wynalda and Wegerle must be on. Oh, and Mia Hamm.
