He was really great. Can you imagine he had this same problem before the 2002 World Cup and, even so, he was there to collect the title beeing the top scorer in that competition. I feel sad when people forget this kind of information. Please keep in mind that he was Fifa’s Player of the year 3 times: 1996, 1997 and 2002. He truly deserves to be regarded as one of the best of his time.

Terrible timing at his age because it’ll take for ever to heal after the operation.
Juan Pablo Sorin (Arg) is still working to make a come back from the same injury, but he’s been 6 months without even jogging.
And yes, Ronaldo was one of the best finishers.

Very sad because Ronaldo still has some soccer left in those legs.What a pity that such a legend will have his career terminated by such a nasty injury,but one thing for sure is that he is such a fighter,and i don’t doubt him coming back from this one.
Well,if he doesn’t,then we will really miss him.Like Daryl put it,he was damn good.

What a shame. His legacy will probably be one that takes a while to mature, but it will because time will show him as a great. It’s a real pity for him and lovers of the game.
