Putting your team’s World Cup players on the map
Our pal Oscar, who runs the very helpful Soccer Blogs aggregator site, has put together a pretty cool map that shows where the players for a few of the World Cup teams play their club football. So far he has only entered in the data for Spain, England, United States and Mexico but it still pretty neat to be able to zoom in and see the various stadiums from satellite. I only hope he adds the Angola players soon since I’d love to see some of their stadiums. While we are in the map talking business, if you haven’t checked out the specially made World Cup news map yet, you should. You’ll have no reason not to pass the geography exam we’re going to give next week.
Thanks for the correction, I was able to find the correct stadium and update my data.

In the Spanish squad, Marcos Senna (Villareal F.C.) is placed just left of Badajoz. In fact that is incorrect, as Villareal is 50kms above Valencia on the Mediterranean coast. (Villareal means Royal Ville, for which there are several examples of such in Spain)
