Noel Gallagher thinks the Socceroos are Shite
When last we heard from Oasis’ Noel Gallagher he was making drunken offers to try to lure football players to play for his beloved Manchester City. I’m not sure if Gallagher was drunk during his recent interview with an Australian newspaper (the chances are fairly good he was), but he did fire away some nasty drunk type comments about the Socceroos.
“Football is the game of the intelligentsia and you are shit at it. You will never win anything so give it up,” Gallagher said.
“What do they call them, the Socceroos? Do me a f—ing favour, you could come up with a better nickname than that.”
Gallagher also went on to slam European Player of the Year finalist Tim Cahill proving that even if you are a mean drunk has-been you can still see that Cahill is overrated.

Can’t really argue with what he said just how he said it.

Not really, Gallagher, but your face with that permanent grouchy look and turned-down, unfriendly lips is definitely overdue for a smack across the chops.

Because he is a talented player and also shows some passion he p1sses some people off. Good. A lot of other players could take a leaf out of his book. They’re mostly all primadonna poofs.
