Football Kit Fonts

Football Fonts G’Day Folks. Bob is travelling across the US of A the next few days so you are gonna have to put up with a few posts from Chris and I. We started this thing at the last WC. Bob has been amazing and I feel inadequate trying to fill-in for a few days. So know that it is just temporary if you end up hating me….this is Bob’s last break until July 9th! Yahooooo.

Check out this Linotypes Kit Font piece (via kottke). For the graphically obsessed and folks that run stuff through PhotoShop, this might be of interest on how they come up with the fonts.

I was thinking of getting the Ukraine Kit myself even thought I could care less about the fonts. But it looks a bit tight fitting and not sure my 33 year old belly would look that great sporting my mini-firestone tire. Maybe a size too big could hide it?

Send on story leads/tips to sean at bootsnall dot com. Cheers.

Did you see the script font on the back of Sevilla’s shirts yesterday? Made their win look even classier.

I noticed that, too Evan. Don’t think I’d seen that before.

(off the topic)I know its a litlle too late, but can u guys start a blog on how concacaf is the easiest qualification to advance from? The reason this is on my mind, is because i dont think it is fair at all, i think they should have to qualify with south america, so that mexico and usa(who always make it out of the bracket) will have the same challenge or similar to what the rest of the world faces every qualifier. thats my word-peace
