FIFA Looking into Injury Compensation for Clubs
In a bit of a surprise move, FIFA is working on a plan that would compensate football clubs for injuries that occur to their players while they are on international duty. You’ll recall that this issue came to the forefront when a group of rich European teams banded together to sue the pants off of the world’s football governing body over the very issue. There’s always been tension between clubs and countries and even if a compromise is reached that will still likely be the case, but from our perspective it would be a move in the right direction for both parties.
