Champions League Online Broadcasts

By: WC Bob | April 25th, 2006 | 7 Comments »

We’re guessing that at least a few of you will be tuning in to watch the semifinals of the Champions League today and tomorrow. For those who are tied to their computers or don’t have access to the television broadcast, you can catch the games online through the kindness of video pirates in China. We’re really looking forward to today’s match between Arsenal and Villareal. It is always a joy to watch Argentina’s Juan Roman Riquelme in action. He is such a creative and deceptive playmaker. He also had what seemed like the entire Arsenal team assigned to stop him in the first leg last week. Arsenal is also an enjoyable team to watch with its multi-national lineup. We’ve become big fans of Cesc Fabregas this year and look forward to seeing whether the teen will be able to carry his excellent form into the World Cup for Spain. Sit back and enjoy some mid-week football. Consider these games as preparation for the World Cup.

This is Riquelmes chance to show the world he can destroy any club in the world with his football, be it a italian or english team. No doubt Wengers boys are going to try and put the breaks on him again but hopefully they can defend well and score a goal.

If riquelme had another great passer alongside him, their would be less pressure on him but arsenal will aim to take him totally out of the game. I think guillermo franco did ok last week as he was runnimg around trying to make a nuisance of himself. Pellegrini needs someone to support riquelme otherwise as soon as he gets the ball you can guarantee their will 2 or more arsenal players chasing riquelme down.Arsenal will not give him room though and i am 50/50 over this match. You know fergies scouts going to looking at roman fr this one.

That chance showed he didn’t put the ball in the net yet. Chances prove nothing. Holland had loads of chances against Germany in the final of 1974, but the Germans left the pitch vitorious…

I am really pissed that ESPN2 is not showing the Barca-Milan game on Wednesday. Instead they have chosen to air the “JUMP ROPING CHAMPIONSHIPS.” AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!

Does anyone know where I could find that game? The online Chinese pirating thing doesn’t seem to work for my computer.

Yay, how sweet that is, a German g/k on an English team without Englishmen denies Argentinian Riquelme the last minute equalizer :-D

Lehmann did a great job anticipating that kick, but boy did Riquelme ever look nervous taking it. I wasn’t sure if he was scared or just extremely constipated.
