GAME DETAILS
Korea Republic vs. Togo, Frankfurt, 15:00 CET

THE BIG PICTURE
The most dominant football force in Asia, Korea Republic is looking to follow their 2002 semifinals run with an equally impressive showing in 2006. Togo may be little more than a speed bump on that way as Togo stands in danger of surpassing Zaire as the most futile competitors ever to play in a World Cup. Good thing we love the underdogs here because Togo’s coach quite the squad just a few days ago and turmoil appears to be the Sparrowhawks’ biggest asset.

Teams: Likely formation; shirt numbers, name, caps and goals, coach:

South Korea (4-3-3): 1-Lee Woon-jae (97-0); 22-Song Chong-gug (51-3), 4-Choi jin-cheul (62-4), 6-Kim Jin-kyu (23-3), 12-Lee Young-pyo (85-5); 7-Park Ji-sung (60-5), 5-Kim Nam-il (66-1), 13-Lee Eul-yong (47-3); 14-Lee Chun-soo (62-7), 9-Ahn Jung-Hwan (61-16), 11-Seol Ki-hyeon (67-13) Coach: Dick Advocaat

Togo (4-4-2): 16-Kossi Agassa (49-0); 2-Dare Nibombe (16-0), 3-Jean-Paul Abalo Dosseh (65-1), 5-Massamasso Tchangai (34-2), 19-Ludovic Assemoassa (5-0); 8-Kuami Agboh (4-0), 9-Thomas Dossevi (10-1), 10-Cherif Toure-Maman (39-7), 15-Alaixys Romao (11-0); 4-Emmanuel Adebayor (29-12), 17-Mohamed Kader Coubadja (46-13) Coach: Kodjovi Mawuena

THE BOTTOM LINE
Sean sez: South Korea 3-1
Bob sez: South Korea 24-4
Chris sez: South Korea 4-0
Nick sez: Togo 2-1
Peter sez: South Korea 3-0

Togo will likely be the whipping boys of the whole 2006 world cup…,the Koreans will have themselves to blame if they throw away this life or death match.Or the koreans really does not have what it takes..?

After tasting the sweet cup of almost winning the World Cup, I think Korea really has to prove themselves this time around after 2002. I’m rooting for them both actually. I want Togo the underdogs to win and propel another African team forward, but also I’d like to see an Asian team moving forward as well.
