THE BIG PICTURE
This quarterfinal battle is a rematch of the 1998 World Cup final, which was won by France. Brazil enters the game on a roll, having one all four of their matches in the competition and outscoring their opponents 10-1 in the process. With all-time World Cup leading goalscorer Ronaldo gaining form and a compliment of weapons, Brazil is looking to stamp their ticket to the semifinals. They face a France team that was counted out as too old and not offensive enough, but that has quieted the critics after a strong performance against Spain. Ronaldinho, Zidane, Kaka, Henry, this game features some of the game’s biggest stars and it should be a classic. Brazil have won a record 11 successive matches at the World Cup finals, the record going back to a 2-1 win over Turkey in their opening match at the 2002 finals. Their last defeat in the competition was against France in the 1998 final. Since then, the teams have met twice, France winning 2-1 in the semi-finals of the 2001 Confederations Cup before a goalless draw in a friendly in 2004.

Teams: Likely formation; shirt numbers, name, caps, goals, coach:

Brazil (4-4-2): 1-Dida (90-0); 2-Cafu (148-0), 3-Lucio (54-2), 4-Juan (42-2), 6-Roberto Carlos (130-10); 17-Gilberto Silva (42-3), 11-Ze Roberto (83-6), 8-Kaka (38-10), 10-Ronaldinho (70-30); 9-Ronaldo (102-65), 23-Robinho (22-5) Coach: Carlos Alberto Parreira

France

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people do. Zidane is left-handed.

The French national anthem, “La Marseillaise,” derived its title from the enthusiasm of the men of Marseilles, France, who sang it when they marched into Paris at the outset of the French Revolution. Rouget de l’Isle, its composer, was an artillery officer. According to his account, he fell asleep at a harpsichord and dreamt the words and the music. Upon waking, he remembered the entire piece from his dream and immediately wrote it down.

France must continue to do what they do best; deny Brazil international success. France has proven to be Brazil’s most adept European opponent. The two nations have met 3 times, with France winning 2 of those. Brazil only won way back in 1958. France knocked Brazil out of the quarterfinals in 1986 and of course beat them on their home turf for the championship back in 1998. France will part up the fight of their life and watch for Brazil to be caught of guard by hte French attacks. History is on the side of France, that alone should be enough to make Brazil worry.

After Brazil loses, France goes to the finals and gets kicked out for being not generally liked by others. USA is given the wild card to the final where it beats Germany and wins the World Cup.

GO USA!!!!
:P

Another time french gained a match
against brazil
and there another disater probably
because france have no value during this year. and surely because it have never get any value in Football !!!!
So how does it gained the matchs ???
By using Vodoo …. since they are
not yet forbiden
This time During the match I was
SLEEPING ….

But just seeing the result and since i have been in france for
about a dozen of years i know
how these poor players issued
from emmigration and playing the worst football that have been
produced … they are probably
more affamed than others …
it is clear that they will never
get any style since they come from
nowhere, they are produced in
MASS PRODUCTION center of
formation like cattle.
Don’t speak abaout style or
beauty of the game
The result is a group for MERCENARY which always dream of leaving this ‘fucked country’
Sorry, it is not my …
They can always dream of London
or Madrid, or any others places
but there is not enough place
for all these Extra-integrated
peoples, and they are probably in
a higher level than the people in
their original
countries, SHIT ….
And after
all they are surely more ‘rich’
than most Brazilian

The french players are ALL issued from immigration but they have
nothing to do with the culture of their orginal countries ecxpect
perhaps the color and french
they have really no roots in
Africa or in others European countries, So they really
have no other solution than
joking with football …
