How Not To Act Like England Vice-Captain, Presented to You by Steven Gerrard
Let's face it: Stevie G is a pretty sketchy character. Not that John Terry didn't have his little bumps along the way before finally getting relieved of his position as England captain, but those were all off the field. David Beckham's New World Cup 2010 Role
Bit of good news for David Beckham. He will be going to South Africa with the England squad. Just not as a player. According to The Guardian, Fabio Capello will offer Becks the chance to join up as a non-playing member of the squad. I'd like to think that this offer ... [read more]
Van Gaal re-invents football rules...

Louis seems to take out this linesman with a karate kick!
Louis van Gaal is a bit like Johan Cruyff. He has an opinion about everything. I may have been that character trait which motivated the Ajax managers of the 1970s to appoint Van Gaal - the playmaker of Ajax C - ... [read more]
If the World Cup was like March Madness, how would Italy do?
Shamelessly stolen from the front page of WorldCupBlog. Daryl has a great post up today. He takes all 32 teams that qualified for the world cup, ranks them based on FIFA rankings, and then designs an NCAA-esque table to see what the matchups would be like in an alternate, basketball-infused universe. Instead of group stages and knockout rounds, this ... [read more]
