LTU 0-1 GRE: Following the Leader
Greece walked out of Vilnius today with all three points after a narrow but valuable 1-0 victory over Lithuania. The victory puts Greece at 13 points just three behind Bosnia who have 16 after defeating Latvia 5-0. This insures our team keeps a small as possible gap to retain chances of getting the top spot. The squad did not perform at its best but still got the victory they needed. There was good overall organization and passing as evidenced with terrific flank play which led to the first goal.
Santos used a Spanish style 4-2-3-1 emphasizing wing play. Unlike the previous uses of this formation during Euro 2012 qualifying,
