Trix and Flix and Shaggy’s Euro 2008 Anthem

Euro 2008 is on the way people. It’s less than four months away. We’ve already met and then named mascots Trix and Flix, and now they star in the video for “Like a Superstar,” the official anthem of Euro 2008. Sung by Shaggy.

Yes, that Shaggy. “Mr. Boombastic” himself, who I honestly thought had disappeared along with the nineties. But now it seems Shaggy was a man with a long term plan, and that releasing “Oh Carolina” in the UK way back in 1993 was just the first step on a fifteen year journey. A journey that would end with Shaggy providing the vocals for androgynous mascots to abseil into town while passing a football.
