Euro 2008 Will Be Available Online
Bad news for those Chinese internet pirates. While many of us have enjoyed watching football via their legally questionable, never quite big enough and heavily pixelated streams, it seems UEFA is finally catching on to the fact that there’s a demand for watching realistically priced football matches online. So for Euro 2008, every game will be available online, from whistle to whistle.
It’s not free. It never is. But it will be relatively cheap, costing £1.50 per game (about $3.) Not too bad if it removes that terrible feeling in your stomach when you know you’re missing a game and wish you weren’t, and the quality will surely be better than the pixelly pirate versions. But World Cup Blog cannot condone watching Euro 2008 while you’re at work, unless it’s a really close game.

Good idea, although most of us lucky sorts in Europe are going to be bombarded with Euro 2008 on our screens throughout June (and a few of us in Britain will be trying to avoid it) – you forget about those poor expats in the states and Australia who are not going to be able to watch every minute. Sneaking a few minutes at work on an internet stream will be a welcome pleasure I’m sure and you’d think that by paying for it – you’d avoid adverts right ? Think again! You’ll still see ads!
