Italian Scandal Latest

By: Daryl | July 26th, 2006 | 8 Comments »

Okay, here’s the latest from Italy:

Inter Milan have officially been declared 2005/6 Serie A champions.

Juventus will appeal against their relegation in civil court, which could delay the start of the season.

AC Milan’s Champions League spot isn’t definite. UEFA have the final say, and Lennart Johansson and friends will meet tomorrow (Thursday) to decide.

If Juventus loses before the Olympixc panel, then finds a friendly judge (hey, if the Mafia can it’s always possible, right) and stays in Serie A, then it’s a blow to trying to clean up Italian football.
