Daily Dose: Special Airplane Edition

Hey kids, I’m currently at comfortable cruising altitude of 35,000 feet. It is always scary entrusting your lives in the hands of an airplane pilot, but not as scary as missing out on some of the day’s World Cup news. Here are some of the stories I gathered while my seat was being kicked in the back by a screaming baby and the woman next to me tried to commandeer my armrest while she ate her sixth bag of peanuts and laughed nonstop at the movie Big Momma’s House 2. Thank heavens for free drink coupons and Prozac.
- Advocaat isn’t a slacker. He’s named South Korea’s World Cup 23 (Soccerway)
- Forget a Big Mac. In Israel you can eat a Royal Mondial. Insert line from John Travolta (Y Net)
- Goleo is already is a part of your heart and now he can be a part of your home (Who ate all the Bratwurst)
- Ich Bin Berliner and I’m not happy about this World Cup thing (WCB.co.uk)
- Maybe they aren’t happy in Berlin because these shoes smell bad (Times Online)
