I don’t want to dwell on the political here, but the death threat against the Iraqi coach is but one of myriad examples of why so many people in that country are not fit to join the ranks of civilized people. I do hope the Iraqis get a true democracy buoyed by a governement that is ROBUST in its capabilities and efforts to provide security because an IRON FIST, as sadly Saddam proved, is the only language so many there understand.

Im not sure why it isnt mentioned here but on the same website that had the thing bout the Iraq coach, it said that Parreira (Brazil’s coach this world cup) will be coaching South Africa in their 2010 world cup. This must be good news for them. He did badly this year but he obviously did well in 1994.

Link to the Parreira story was in yesterday’s Daily Dose.

Thank you for a great article about Germany. I am a German living in California and I am soooo proud of Germany and the Mannschaft… and now, we have Michael Ballack here in Los Angeles. Of course, we took pictures of him.
