Rosario Central was already negociating with ‘Chope before the WC. The goals against Germany were one thoought to ruin the transfers , as the player might have become too expensive (there were rumours of Corinthians wanting him).

The second part of the quarterfinals will begin next week (7/18 – 7/20) with the following games:

Libertad (PAR) vs River Plate (ARG)- series tied at 2 goals. Game will be play in Asuncion.

Internacional (BRA) vs Liga De Quito (ECU). Liga leading 2 to 1. Game will be play in Brasil.

I really hate the way that FIFA throws around and then retracts national bans willy-nilly, it basically undermines their authority since it makes clear they only put the bans on for people who challenge their power.
