2011 Copa Centroamericana
The 2011 Copa Centroamericana ran from 14-23 January 2011 in Panama. The seven central American countries (according to FIFA) participated.
The tournament is over, and Honduras have claimed their third Central American title.

FT Honduras 2-1 Costa Rica
The semifinal scorelines were:
Honduras 2-0 El Salvador – 21 January 2011
Panama 1-1 (2-4 pen) Costa Rica – 21 January 2011
The two groups were as follows:
Group A: Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama
Group B: Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras
The group stage ran from 14-18 January, and the top two sides from each group advances to the semifinals. These four sides also earn entry to the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, as well as the fifth-placed team, Guatemala. The final will be held at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City on 23 January 2011.
Historically, Costa Rica is by far the most successful team in the tournament, having won it six times out of ten total tournaments. In 44 Cup matches, the Costa Rica team has lost only 7 times. The only other nations to win it are Honduras, Guatemala and Panama, and Panama are the defending champions as well as hosts. Honduras has the advantage of recent top-level experience, coming off of their 2010 World Cup appearance.
