Togo took the early lead with a goal by Mohamed Kader. South Korea answered with a goal off of a free kick by Lee Chun Soo and a goal by Ahn Jung Swan. Emmanuel Adebayor was MIA but Togo was added to the list of possibly underestimated African teams.
