Yeah, the stage is now set for Mali. Nigeria didn’t look like world-beaters so Mali’s chances to advance are looking decent…depending how they look against Benin.

My vote now is for Muntari…if only for the fact that it was right against the final whistle to win the game…so the drama of that gives it a slight edge in my mind.

I’d say Muntari. It was just a scorcher, but then I usually favour scorchers over runs through defence.

I’m disappointed to say the least, I expected an exciting thriller, what I got was a game blowing hot and cold. Nigeria had it wrong, putting balls in where there are either tall Cote D’Ivoire players, or groups of orange shirts. Could’ve done better with the talent they had.

I hope Mali vs Benin is better, but if one of those two gets three points, Nigeria are going to find it a bit difficult to qualify. Still, the proof will be in the pudding as they say.
