Didier Drogba is Back With a Bang

With the exception of Côte d’Ivoire’s Group C rivals Nigeria, Benin and Mali, everyone is hoping to see a healthy, goal-scoring Didier Drogba at the African Cup of Nations. Alongside Samuel Eto’o, Drogba is the biggest name at the tournament, but a recent bit of knee surgery and a month-long lay-off meant there were doubts about his fitness for the tournament.

But Drogba played and scored (see above) in Côte d’Ivoire’s 2-0 friendly win over Kuwait this past weekend, firing home a free-kick with a worrying casualness and giving cause for optimism that we’ll see a fully fit and in-form Drogba lighting up Ghana 2008.

he is a beast One of my favorites and in my opinion the best striker on Earth. Because he really does more then just score.

Doesn’t look that hard (to a player like Drogba, of course) because the Kuwaiti wall is all off! It was a direct shot on goal, if I’m seeing right!
