i vote for egypt, no offense but other flags seem to be a little childich and full of colours and they are very similar. next is tunisia

My vote’s for Namibia. I like the “full of colors” part. So different from the US/Europe.

Angola’s is pretty badass but I’m super super biased: Tunisia all the way. Even though it’s origins are Turkish (Ottoman to be specific), I feel like we took it and perfected it :) I’ve always been envious of the green and red color combo on Morocco’s flag though (very complementary). Red and white is a little more boring but it’s mine and I’m proud of it. Off topic but is it Mozambique that has the Ak47 on it? That’s even more badass than a Machete but I don’t know if I’d want it on a national flag… To each their own.

Easy: Angola (biased b/c I studied quite a bit of Angolan history during my masters studies — regardless, it’s sick as hell), followed by Tunisia (clean, eye-catching design, and sharply contrasting colors)

Tamim, you’ve made a good point; but theres a reason why the flags are similar. If u recollect your history lesson Ghana was the first to have the red, gold, green combination which led to other African countries following suit. But hey, Ghana has a “BLACK STAR” in the middle. NO OFFENCE ALSO!

    Are you kidding? Namibia.

Angola all the way. Any county that has a machete in their flag deserves respect.

ANGOLA – I always admired Angola’s flag. The icons with swatches of deep red versus black!
I admired reading about the guerilla movement and the obvious MPLA association with the Soviet Union. Politics aside..it’s a great design from a Graphic designer’s point of view.

South Africa has the best flag.

  • Lethepu

All the colours are so so similar.
I was in Accra for the opening and difficult to tell the Ghanaian supporters from the Guinea supporters.
Allow me to be biased but South Africa takes the lead and Egypt also has distinct flag.
