Senegal were the better team, but Tunisia scored the better goals. Issam Jemaa opened the scoring early with a instinctive strike for the Carthage Eagles from a narrow angle after a fluid one-two. But Tunisia sat back and crossed their fingers for a 1-0 win only to concede to Moustapha Bayal Sall right on half-time after a mistake by Jaidi. Senegal came out string for the second 45 and Dioamansy Kamara gave Senegal the lead by being the most awake player during a goalmouth scramble. Tunisia looked short of ideas and destined for defeat until Mejdi Traoui decided a 35 yard strike into the top left corner was the only way to go. Turns out he was right, and now we have yet another contender for goal of the tournament.
