Here is the official team list (23 man squad as submitted to CAF)
    http://www.cafonline.com/userfiles/file/press-releases/countries-receivedengpdf-1262606125.pdf

Even the CAF list is not correct because some players have been dropped (injuries, indiscipline, etc). Teams were required to submit their 23 man squad to CAF by December 31, 2009.

Regulations of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations

    Chapter 32

List of Players for the Final Phase

    Article 70

70.1. Ten (10) days before the first match of the final phase, a list of twentythree (23) players at the maximum, must reach CAF secretariat and the concerned teams. Any federation, which does not conform to this provision, shall pay to CAF a fine of ten thousand (10000) US dollars. No modification in the list of the twenty-three (23) players will be admitted, except in case of force majeure, recognised as such by the organising committee.

If the list of 23 players is not received at CAF secretriat 7 days prior to the kick-off day of the final tournamant, the concerned team will only be allowed to register 21 players.

70.2. A player from the final list could not be replaced unless he was seriously injured twenty-four (24) hours at least before the beginning of his team’s first match. His substitution must be approved in writing by CAF medical committee, after reception and approval of a detailed medical certificate. CAF medical committee shall write a certificate attesting that the wound is sufficiently serious to prevent the player from participating in the African Cup of Nations and shall give the certificate to the organising committee for approval. Once the certificate is approved, the association should then appoint a substitute immediately and inform the general secretariat of CAF. The final list of twenty-three (23) players shall be published by the general secretariat of CAF.

Will be interesting to see the English club squads this weekend, if the snow lets many of them play. An extended run of postponements might be great news for some of these clubs, except for the big ones like Chelsea who have to worry about congestion later on.

Missing No: 21 for Cameroon is Joel Matip who plays in the Bundesliga.

    Missing no. 21:

NEWS STORY – Cameroon are expected to name a replacement on Wednesday for the German-born teenager Joel Matip, who has not joined up with their African Nations Cup finals squad.

The Schalke 04 midfielder did not travel with the rest of the squad to Nairobi, where they play a warm-up international against Kenya on Saturday before traveling on to Angola.

Cameroon team officials said the 18-year-old Matip, born in Bochum to a Cameroonian father and German mother, had not received a passport in time. While the country’s sports minister said the player had sought permission to join up late with the squad because he is writing a school exam.
